Tantallon

Roseland

With breath-taking panoramic sea views over the Carrick Roads and St Just Creek, Tantallon is a spacious beautifully presented holiday home with large garden and plenty of parking, near St Mawes. Tantallon benefits from a huge rear patio area for the morning sunshine and a deck area to the front for afternoon and evening sun. The whole site is shielded from the road by a high hedgerow and therefore is particularly private and quiet.

The open plan layout has picture windows framing the magnificent scenery. French doors open out onto the deck, perfect for a morning coffee and sunset wine. At one end there is a large dining table, at ...

the other a snug seating area with wood-burning stove, and to the rear a well-equipped kitchen that overlooks the sunny BBQ patio. The master suite and three first floor bedrooms all have sea views, plus there is a self-contained annexe providing additional accommodation. The sheltered waters of St Just creek below the house provide an ideal location for sailing and other water activities. There is also a plethora of incredible walks, villages and beaches all on your doorstep ready to be explored. Dogs welcome.

Tantallon’s fabulous position bordering National Trust land is a great starting point for walks on the coastal path into St Mawes or along the creek to Messack Point.

St Just in Roseland is most famous for the stunning Church. Just below Tantallon, nestled on the edge of the tidal pool, surrounded by sub-tropical gardens, it was described by Sir John Betjeman as being “to many people the most beautiful churchyard on earth.” Legend says the church stands at the spot where a young Jesus Christ stepped ashore with his Uncle Joseph of Arimathea when sheltering from a storm. Whether you are religious or not the church and its tranquil setting are a must-see.

St Mawes is only 5 minutes away. Renowned for its spectacular beauty, the stunning harbour is a favourite for visiting yachtsmen, walkers and artists. Excellent restaurants, pubs, shops, beaches, water sports rentals and regular ferry links to Falmouth or St Anthony; there are a wealth of activities close to hand.
